Day 111

This is what happens when you jump out of the truck to get some shots right after it has rained pretty heavy. The ground at this area was just like stepping in very wet potters clay. And I did not realize the folly until it was to late. Was able to back my truck out without any issues until I got back on the pavement. So much of the clay had gummed up in my tire treads that it took about two minutes of "flooring it" to spin most of it off. It was the weirdest feeling to know the tires are spinning and the back end is coming around but the truck is not moving forward at all. Was just like being on ice but squishy.

Day 110

Death Valley (a tribute trip to my grandmother and her passion for art and shooting photos).

Cyclists zooming down the road to Stove Pipe Wells with a good strong wind at there back. We saw them later stuck in the middle of the dust storm on the way to Furnace Creek. If I was in my truck I would have stopped and offered to take them into Furnace Creek, but alas we were in my moms Honda. The bikes don't fit real well.

Big fat juicy worms. These things were migrating across the road and 'popping' every where.
