A New Year

As 2009 is fading fast (good riddance), I have decided to try something new to get me out there and shooting photos for 2010. My plan is to shoot a photo-a-day for every day of 2010. I know this will be a challenge to always find the time or something interesting to shoot. Don't really know what the results will be. Probably some really bizarre photos, some interesting, some not so interesting. But I really need something to keep me going out and shooting photos. So stay tuned if you are interested in seeing the result. Maybe I will be able to get enough pictures this year for another unique calendar. And this will also force me to write in the blog a little more.

The project will be to post one photo a day to this blog for 2010. I will probably try to collect my best photos from the year and post to my spd.baccus-designs.com site as a slide show, but I need to get this site back up and running fully (hopefully within a week or two, it will be back online).

Here's wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous 2010...

Update to 'Nemo'

We have now confirmed that there are six small fries that made it this morning. They have all come out after the barrier went it.

The Nemo Reenactment

Jordyn and Tanner got some fish a while back. Well this morning, Jordyn's female guppy had babies. Tanner was so excited, he said "I am an uncle!...". We told him that as an uncle he would have to take good care of those babies. And that he would need to make sure to milk the mother every day to feed them. Tanners response... "How do we do that?" Couldn't keep a straight face after that....

But then we noticed that Tanners fish, a Tiger Bar (or something like that) seemed to be hunting. And he was, he was looking for all the babies wanting to eat them. As he is stalking around the tank like Jaws, the male guppy kept slamming into the Tiger Bar and they seemed to be fighting as the female guppy was searching for the babies. Looked like a bizzar remake of "Finding Nemo".

The Tiger spotted one of the babies and zipped after it as the male guppy was thrashing away at him. Tanner and I both thought the tiger got the baby and apparently the male guppy did to. Because he started flitting about the tank like he was searching for the baby. And if we listened really hard, we could hear him yelling "Nemo.... Nemo...."

The following is Tanner telling everyone how many were saved when they finally got the divider in place.

Early morning trip to shoot wild flowers

Jordyn and I decided that since we were both up early and everyone else was still asleep that we would make a short run out to the poppy fields and see if there were any pictures to be taken.

These are the photos that Jordyn shot.

67 Mile Ride

This was such a great day for a ride. Trevor and I did right at 67 miles. The photo's above were shot at what we always called "Club Dead". It is some sort of old test facility that is located out near highway 395. As you can see, people tend to shoot it up pretty good. Made for a great stopping place that day though.
